Hanshew, Jimmy Sr. - October 25, 1998
Jimmy L. Hanshew Sr., 60 of Kiln, died Sunday, Oct 25, 1998 in Gulfport.
Mr. Hanshew was a native of Iredell, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Hancock County. Before his retirement he was plant manager of Swift Packing Company-Mapelli Foods in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Hanshew.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Hoda Hanshew of Kiln; four sons, Jimmy L. Hanshew Jr, of Slidell, Kyle Ahlers of Kiln, Curt Ahlers of Sasapo, Japan, and Craig Ahlers of Kiln; six daughters, Kelly Hanshew and Stacy Hanshew, both of Slidell, Tammy Dubuisson of Dedeaux, Vanessa Ahlers of Houston, Beth Ladner and Renee Ahlers, both of Kiln; his parents, John and Marie Cooley of Leetwon; three brothers, Ronnie Hanshew of Gransbury; and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation was Tuesday at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. Services were conducted Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. Burial was in Standard Sandhill Cemetery in Hancock County.
