Hayden, Margaret  -  March 2, 1998

Margaret (Maggie) Dantagnan Hayden, 67, of Bay St. Louis, died Monday, March 2, 1998, in Bay St. Louis. Ms Hayden was born in New Orleans July 3, 1930 and had lived in Bay St. Louis since 1963.

Ms Hayden was active in the real estate business since 1963 and was co-owner of Dantagnan Realty, Inc. She served as director and vice president of the Gulf Coast Multiple Listing Service for numerous years, was the 1975 Associate Realtor of the Year for the Gulfport Board of Realtors, and vice president of Women's Council of Realtors for 1983. In 1989 she received a certificate of appreciation for 25 years of outstanding community service from the Gulfport Board of Realtors. She was a lifetime member of the Milion Dollar Club and held the professional designation of Graduate Realtors Institute, Certified Residential Specialist and Certified Residential Broker.

She was preceded in death by her father, A. G. Dantagnan; and her brother, A. G. Dantagnan Jr.

Survivors include her mother, Edith Daigle Dantagnan; sisters, Edith D. Piazza of Brooksville, Fla., and Julie D. Stearns of New Iberia, La; six children, Holly H. Hayden of Malibu, Calif., Patricia A. Hayden of Lawrence, Kan., Lee Hayden Jr. Of Bay St. Louis, Margaret H. Fristoe of Bay Minette, Ala., David Dantagnan Hayden of Crofton, Md, and Michael S. Hayden of Waveland; two foster children, Francesca Grasse of Bay St. Louis and Rosemary G. Patterson of Biloxi; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be conducted Saturday, March 7, 1:30 p.m. at St. Rose de Lima Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis where friends may call an hour before service time. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery in Pass Christian.

Riemann Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis is in charge of arrangements.
