Adams, Amelia - December 1, 1959
Sister Mary of the Cross, 97, of St. Joseph Provincial House, New Orleans, died Tuesday, December 1, at 12:30 p. m.
Amelia Adams, in religion, Sister Mary of the Cross, was the daughter of the late Peter William and Mary Hanlin Adams; sister of the late Emile Adams of Pass Christian and the late Mrs. Ferdinand Ramond, Sr., of Bay St. Louis. Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.
A native of Pass Christian, and a resident of New Orleans for the past 27 years, Sister joined the Order of St. Joseph at the age of 18.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10 a. m. from the chapel of St. Joseph Provincial House, 1200 Mirabeau Avenue. Interment was in St. Louis Cemetery No. 3
