On This Day In...

1912

April 3rd - Hail stones "as large as hen’s eggs" hit Dunbar Village for about 45 minutes. The Dunbar Oyster Cannery stops operations since employees were so panic stricken that "they would do nothing but sing hymns and pray to God for mercy."
