Benigno, Sam S. - January 1, 1956
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Fahey Funeral Home Bay St. Louis, for Sam S. Benigno, who died in the Gulfport Hospital following an extended illness.
Mr. Benigno was born in Palermo, Italy, Dec. 25. 1875. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Benigno of this city. His wife is the former Miss Frances Noto.
Religious services were held at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church with interment in St. Mary's cemetery. Pallbearers were Joseph Benigno Jr., George Benigno Jr., Andrew Khoury, Albert Burns, M. J. Benigno, Joseph Todero.
Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Mary Vassalli, Mrs. J. C. Line, Mrs. Robert Odonell, Pensacola; Miss Gloria Benigno, Bay St. Louis, and six sons, George. B., New Orleans, Anthony. Bay St. Louis, Joseph, Pass Christian. Sam J. Galveston, Texas, and Charles, Bay St. Louis, and two brothers, Ben and Steve Benigno, Bay St. Louis.
