Lusich, Rufus J. - February 1, 1997
Rufus J. Lusich, 86, of Bay St. Louis, died Saturday, Feb 1, 1997, in Bay St. Louis.
Mr. Lusich was born in Lakeshore and was founder of Lusich Department Store in Bay St. Louis. He was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nina Marie Lusich; his parents, Ferdinand and Sedonia Ladner Luxich; his brother, William Luxich; his sisters, Rite Luxich and Evelyn Luxich Asher.
Survivors include his wife, Magnolia Lusich of Bay St. Louis; a son, Donald J. Lusich of Lakeshore; two daughters, Pat L. Smith of Bay St. Louis and Donna L. Holland of Lakeshore; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Monday evening at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. Mass was celebrated Tuesday at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. Burial was in Bayou LaCroix Cemetery.
