Marshall, George M. - March 16, 1997
Mr. George M. Marshall, 73, of Poplarville, died March 16, 1997 in Hattiesburg.
Mr. Marshall was a retired marine engineer for Globe Marine where he was employed for 20 years. He was a past master of the Sherrard Byrd Lodge 353 and a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies of Hattiesburg. He was a Shriner for Joppa Temple and a member of the Antique Car Club of Poplarville.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ionka (Lonnie) Vonkovach Pryhoda Marshall of Poplaraville; two sons, Stevens C. Marshall of Houston, Texas, and Alvin R. Smith of Lakeshore; two daughters, Carla Marshall Holquin of Harvey, La., and Kwaren Garcia Smith of Lakeshore; five sisters, Mary Neri, Sara Smith, Connie Enyart and Adeline Thorsen, all of Concord, Ga., and Tessie Kizes of New Somes,Va,; a brother, Jessie Lee Marshall of Henmett, Calif; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Tuesday at White Funeral Home in Poplarville.Seervices were conducted Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. Burial was in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Bay St. Louis.
