Edward L. Newman, 80, of Kiln, died Friday, May 23, 1997, in Kiln
Mr. Newman was a retired ironworker. He was a native of Oklahoma City, Okla; a member of the Shifalo Baptist Church in Kiln; a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Ironworkers Union Local 58 in New Orleans.
He was preceded in death by his son, James Robert Oglesby.
Hew is survived by his wife, Ruth Newman of Kiln; one granddaughter, and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Shifalo Baptist Church in Kiln. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at the church.
A graveside service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at McLaurin Cemetery in Mc Laurin, Ms.
Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis is in charge of the arrangements.
