Fr. Eddy took his benefit at the theatre here Friday evening vith one of the most crowded audiences that have attended the threatre for many years.
Everybody is on the tip toe of expectation of the arrival of the great showman, "a Werd" (Artenrus Ward) and his "Betsy Jane."

Ship Accident
On Friday evening last (January 12, 1866), the propeller Joseph Sparks ran on the obstructions as she was entering the port and parted entirely in the center. She is a total loss. No lives were sacrificed.
