About tfie Artist
Henry Gonzales retired to Bay St. Louis as a permanent resident in 1992. Both he and his wife, Yvette, have spent vacations at the Bay since childhood and for the last ten years, they have spent every weekend here. In his retirement Henry has been able to pursue his interest in pen and ink art work and in water colors.
He has always been talented in the arts, having studied and graduated from the New Orleans Academy of Art. He interrupted his pursuit of art work in the interest of marriage and consequently the rearing of five children. Having accomplished that goal, he has been able to retire to the Coast from Metairie, Louisiana.
Henry spends many hours in his art studio on Bay Oaks Drive in Bay St. Louis enjoying the results of his artistic talent. His special interests are his greeting cards and "art-note" cards, pen and ink sketches and water color
washes of area homes. Henry and Yvette have produced a lovely line of note cards available at many of the local gift stores. His custom renderings of homes have kept him quite busy as the locals have caught on to the distinction of having their home displayed as framed art and through personalized art-notes.
You may contact Henry and Yvette Gonzales at (601) 467-4360 or write at 105 Bay Oaks Drive, Bay St. Louis, MS 39520.
