AN Ordinance to prevent trespassing by any oat, bullock,or cow, within the City of 8ay St, Louis*
Section 1. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Bay fit* ^ouis that any parson or persons owning any ox, bullock, or cor within the corporate IforJLta of the City of Bay St* louis, habitually addicted to opening pates, or fence breaking shall be taken and confined, and by inforoation given to the Marshal of said City, by the person or persons, into whose inclosure ot grounds such animal nay have opened the gate, or bro keu the fence, and the owner of such aniraal shall pay to the Marshal for the use of said city of Bay St. ■‘tmiswithin three days after notice given to the owner of such animal, ten dollars| and upon default, thereof the Marshal shall sell said animal for cash, to i> the highest bidder at the Door of the Court Haase, between the hoars prescribed by law*
Section 2nd It is further Ordained, that tho Uarslial shall receive Two dollarc and fifty cents, for taking and confinding said Animal, which shall bn In case of a sale; paid out of the proceeds of the State, otherwise out of the owuwr thereof*
