RESOLUTION RE AROIITECTURAL/HISTORICAL SURVEY
WHEREAS, on April 4, 1978, this Council passed an order, as recorded in the minutes of this Council, authorizing Ronnie Murray of Gulf Regional Planning Commission, to implement a historical survey and to follow through with the Historical Society and the Department of Archives and History, using Mrs. Guice's resources, if necessary, pnd
WHEREAS, it now appears that the City must agree to certain other regulations to receive State and Federal assistance. Be it therefore
RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, to conduct, or cause to be conducted, an architectural/historical survey for the "toute ensemble* or total environment of the city; that the areas defined as the important historical and architectural sections of the City of Bay St.
Louis, significant within the city, be identified by the survey for the recording of elements of its cultural, social, economic, political and architectural history, to strenghen the city's economic base, to establish and improve property values and to foster the economic development of the area so defined to manage growth; that the purpose of this resolution is to promote the educational, cultural, economic and general welfare of the public. Be it further
RESOLVED that this Council agrees to expend funds, if available% for the aforesaid purposes; to enter into contracts or agreements with any agency of the United States or person, firm, corporation or association for such purposes; to accept grants or donations of money from any other governmental agency, person, firm, corporation, association or group; that Ronnie Murray of Gulf Regional Planning Commission, the Hancock County Historical Society, Department of Archives and History and Mrs. Julia Guice's resources be used if necessary for the above stated purposes and intent.
After being reduced to writing, the foregoing resolution was read and considered, section by section and then as a whole, at a public meeting of the Council of the City of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, whereupon Councilman Wagner moved its adoption and after second by Councilman Seymour the following roll call vote was had:
Voting yea:	Councilmen Seymour, Benvenutti, Thriffiley, Farve and Wagner.
Voting nay:	Nonei.
Whereupon Preside passed by tpe Council of of May, 1978.
