Battle of 1312 Historical Marker
Dear Mayor Franckiewicz:
Mark Hammond of the Department of Archives and History, Jackson MS. advised me as of this date that the Bureau of Tourism has approved a 100)6	funding	for
the Battle of 1812 marker.
Within the plans of the Sand Beach Improvement plan,we understand the City has designated placing the marker at Ullman Avenue and Beach Boulevard, a most appropiate location.
It may be necessary for the marker to be placed within a given length of time? It also may be necessary for the Archives to approve the	location?
Cur Society has previously	corresponded	and	worked
on the grid wording of the marker which will ultimately be approved by Mark Hammonds department at the Archives.
We are so much appreciative that it has been approved for the 100^ funding and feel the marker will most certainly be an educational and economic benefit for the City of Bay St. Louis and Hancock County.
Sincerely, Peggy G-ibbens
