BAY-WAVELAND GARDEN CLUB
^ The Bay-Waveland Garden Club emerged in the deMontluzin drug store with discussions of how the towns of Bay St. Louis and Waveland could beautify and promote private and commercial gardens to attract more people to this part of the Coast.
Since flowers, beauty, and gardens are considered the domain of the fair sex, these men persuaded their wives to organize a club for this purpose.
On Tuesday, September 27, 1938, at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Weston, 702 S. Beach Blvd, Bay St. Louis, with Mrs. Leo W. Seal presiding and the following charter members present1 the first garden club of Hancock County was founded, to be named the BAY-WAVELAND GARDEN CLUB i2"
