Sailing is the Reason
Bay-Waveland Yacht Club was started by a group of people that shared a common interest That interest was sailing, whether it was recreational or competitive, the overall reason was sailing. Sure we want a club that has something to offer all of the members, whether it’s a pool, Friday night dinner or social events. We should not forget that sailing is by far the main reason for the clubs existence.
Many of our sailors have competed in national championships. Next time that you are in the dub, if you haven’t done so already, look around on the walls and in the trophy cases, I think you will be quite impressed. The pictures on this page and throughout this Jibsheet, emphasize the history of this club. We, as members, need to make sure that history repeats itself, by getting involved and supporting the sailing program. Our young sailors and future sailors need to have the same top notch -equipment, facilities and opportunities that their predecessors were given. Only then, can we expect our sailors to do their very best
Then history can repeat itself.	@06*	& /4cUlm&
