the BWYC Outstanding Man Trophy which is voted on by the BWYC Flag Officers. Former Adams Cup national sailing champion Judy Reeves received the BWYC Outstanding Lady award for the year and BWYC Honorary Membership was conferred upon five former BWYC Commodores, Don Chamberlain, Eddie Heath, Larry Larroux, Dick Reeves and Richard Shadoin. It is nice to see that the great traditions of yachting and of BWYC continue in a very healthy fashion today in 2002. It is noteworthy exciting that three (3) months later, from the GYA Opening Regatta in 2002, BWYC will host the GYA Junior Lipton Championship Regatta and four (4) months later on Labor Day weekend of 2002, BWYC will host the 83rd GYA Sir Thomas J. Lipton Cup Championship Regatta. With Club facilities in great shape, it is pleasing that BWYC will host and compete in these major GYA Championship sailing events under the very capable leadership of Commodore John C. "Corky" Hadden.
