Skipper Marcus Eagan with his brother Andrew and his father Marc crewing for him earned a 2nd place overall finish in the 2013 Audi Melges 20 Winter Series Event #1 Championship hosted by the Coconut Grove Sailing Club at Miami, FL December 8 — 9, 2012. It was a 4 race-42 boat winter international sailing event where the Bay-Waveland Yacht Club competitors had finishes of 4 6-8-3 for 21 points. Russell Lucas sailing Shimmer with Harry Melges III and Fede-
rico Michetti won the event with finishes of 9-2-1-2 and 14 points. John Kilroy with finishes of 7-7-4-9 and 27 points placed 3rd overall and Alessandro Rombelli was 4th with finishes o f 3-8-18-1 and 30 points.
“The Eagan family (Marcus, Andrew and Marc) on Cajun Underwriting, a total Corinthian boat, finished with a well deserved and highly respected second place trophy. They also were named top
Corinthian. Competition was intense for the forty-two boats in attendance, enjoying numerous lead changes and struggling with the challenging light air conditions. Congratulations to all participants for a job well done”.
