Preparations for kal'1 Ins; Regattas
Eiloxi is at present much occupied in preparations for the approaching regattas. The one at the Lake End (Pontchartrain) on Thursday next (July 21) vill be visited by several of the boats now at that place.
Prominent among these are the Limnas. owned by the Acme Club; and the Coquette, late Howard, that vqs a contestant against boats of her class last year. They vill, we hear, be joinei by the Corlnne of Fay St. Touis, Neither the Protor« Xi^hi^s„ Tittle Annie or Sarah will attend.
l^or the 'rational Regatta on August 17th, a pier is to be built near the bar, sufficient to accom-odate fifteen hundred persons, and every arrangement vill be made for the comfort and amusement of visitors. This meeting, it is thought, vill be followed by regattas along the entire coast.
