Breathing life back into the Bay’s communities

Tomorrow afternoon, the world will be connected again - or at least our small part of it will be. After 20 months and 17 days, the new Bay Bridge is scheduled to officially open to vehicle traffic at 4 p.m., an event, many feel, that will breathe new life into the small communities that dot both sides of the Bay of St. Louis.
"I can't talk about how good it is," said Bay St. Louis Mayor Eddie Favre last week. "This magnificent symbol of our recovery is built for the future and it is important that everything we do in rebuilding is with an eye to the future.
