£2500*00 in hand paid, and $2500.00 to be paid on March 3, 1870, evidenced by a promissory note of even date, payable 12 months after date, with interest at the rate of dfe per annum; to secure the payment of which said note a Mottgage Lien is hereby reserved.
Conveys the same property described in Item No. 14 of this abstract.
$5.00 United States Internal Revenue Stamp affixed and duly cancelled.

Satisfaction of Lien.
Dated June 20, 1870.
This is a certificate of said Commissioner to the effect that Dr. Alfred C. Holt exhibited before him, Commissioner, as the last holder and Owner thereof, and as duly paid and acquitted, a certain promissory note drawn by Mary W.Holt to the order of and endorsed by Messrs. Penn and Pace - - - , dated March 3, 1869 - - - in the sum of $2500.00*with 8# interest from date - -ana is secured by mortgage retained in a deed acknowledged before said Commissioner on March 13, 186,9, on certain lands in Hancock County, Mississippi - - - (description same as in Item Ho.14 hereof).
