The school trustees of Dedeaux public school have requested Father Waters to get three Sisters to teach in the public school - they will be given a salary of $45*00 a month for eight months and will be given a house besides which will be fixed up with modern conveniences - Bishop feels that this would be a very good thing and he consults Mr* Brunini, who finds no State lav/ against Sisters teaching in a public school - the Dominican Sisters of Hew Orleans are willing to take up this work - later, however, the school trustees write that on account of war restrictions they cannot build a convent for the Sisters, neither is there any suitable place that might be bought or rented; therefore the coming of the Sisters will have to be postponed until after the war*
