My dear uncle:
I have been doing some private investigating of our claim myself, but Hitchler has sent me only two papers; one a partial inventory of* the bankrupt proceedings in reference to the Texas lands, and the other a deed to a one-eighth interest in eleven leagues on the Trinity River.
I wish you would get	the followiflg information	for
me,	if	the	same is of record in New	Orleans, a copy (one made	by
yourself in pencil will be ample ) of the bankruptcy proceedings of your father, G. L. Vagner; also all references in full as to what was done with the Texas lands, and especially the descriptions. ^
I notice a reference	sent me by Hitchler taken	from
the	schedule	in bankruptcy of "title before James N. Ma^ i, N. ?.
6/2/36, Pg. 265?; this refers to a deed from 0. P. Jackson to your father. There are two other tracts in the deed which were titled before James B. Marks, Notary Public, "February 2 to June 29" (?) 36, see pages 291 and	36	(?). If I could	get the deeds for these two
other tracts, one	is	easily located, the league	grant known as No.	1;
but, I would have	to	get the transfers	prior to	my grandfather.
If I can find the	deeds to him, we can	begin to	run back and see what
