I received a message from one of my friends at the Food Pantry, so I am passing the information onto you.
The Food Pantry is continually asked, “What do you need?”
If everyone would buy one can of meat (for instance beef stew), or one can of fruit, it would help a great deal.
Used children’s books can still be dropped off at the Food Pantry (in back of the Courthouse) or at Bookends on the service road by the bridge.”
The Food Pantry continues to serve our community and still needs the community’s support.
Just think, since the Food Pantry has been in operation, some 9,187 families, (27,394 people, mostly children) have received assistance. This is just in a bit over nine years of operation.
The Food Pantry continues to work, and your support is greatly appreciated.	____

A lot of food
The letter carriers from the Bay St. Louis Post Office collected food items for the Hancock County Food Pantry last Saturday. The carriers collected some 13,000 plus pounds of food, which went to the Food Pantry and also to the Hancock County Emergency Relief. It was the largest food drive ever in Han-' cock County. Appreciation goes to every resident who placed out food for the letter carriers to collect. The letter carriers of Hancock County need to be congratulated on a job well done.
