What is now known as the Manor House Apartments sits on land once owned by Mrs. D. H. Boyle. Even though the apartments face deMontluzin Ave., the property extended to Beach Blvd. with 216 North Beach Blvd. as the address. The original house sat here on Beach Blvd. facing the bay. The main building of Manor House Apartments served as servants’ quarters for the Boyle estate.
The Boyle house burned in 1901. Subsequently, the Tulane Hotel was built on the property and run by Mrs. Boyle. The servants’ house became known as the O. J. Key
