NOTICE.
The Jew Orleans Clearing House, on October 28th, 1907, made public the following notice:
“The clearing houses of New York, Chicago, Pittsburg and Milwaukee, haring decided that their associate bauks shall make use of clearing house certificates in their clearings, and that all savings deposits shall require sixty days before withdrawal, and this making it impossible to obtain further remittances of currency to this city, it lias become necessary for the associate banks of New Orleans to protect their customers and themselves by putting in force the resolutions as below, otherwise the City of New Orleans would be quickly drained of its currency by demands from other cities, and the moving of the crops become very difficult.
RESOLY'ED, That 011 and after October 29th, 1907, the associated banks of New Orleans issue for settle-

RESOLVED FURTHER, That after October 2t>, 1907, the associate brinks limit the payment of currency to any one depositor to Fifty (150.00) Dollars per day, however, reserving the right to deviate from this rule at their discretion in their dealings with employers who are required to have cash to meet their payrolls.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That after October 26, 1907, the sixty days’ clause governing savings deposits be enforced.”
The above action of the Xew Orleans clearing house making it impossible to obtain further remittances of currency to the country banks, it has become necessary for the said couutry banks to protect their customers and themselves, by putting into force the resolutions as below, otherwise the towns aud cities of the couutry would be quickly drained of all of their currency by demands from other places, and the moving of necessary business become very difficult.
