She married William Bryan Graham, July 4, 1931 at the age of 25. Fr. Gmelch officiated at his office-parlor (her husband was not Catholic).
Annie has been a faithful Catholic. As a teen ager she sold UCA salve at .250 per tin box and bought her first Catholic Cross. She attended 6 A.M. Mass before going to work. Inasmuch as her job with the telephone company required split-shift work, she was unable to belong to groups within the church.
When her husband was made Past Commander of the American Legion, she joined the Auxiliary but again, she was unable to attend many meetings.
Today she lives in her home at 317 Leonard Street. Since she has a few ailments such as asthma and circulation problems which limit her running around, she uses the phone for a lot of visiting.
She does her own cooking and cleaning and watches a lot of television between times. She invites you to come and visit with her. She says, "Being an orphan doesn't rub off on anybody'.'
