BAY WAVELAND GARDEN CENTER 114 Leonhard Ave., Bay St. Louis, 10 a.m.-l p.m. This much loved home of Bay-Waveland Garden Club is on the National Historic Register. The Club was founded in 1938. Flower show 10 a.m.-l p.m. Maps and brochures are available.
HOME OF JACK AND MELINDA RICHARD 1320 Dunbar Ave., Bay St. Louis. This unique Acadian cottage was built in the 1800s on the banks of the Jourdan River and has been moved twice - in 1906 to Harrison Court and in the 1920s to its present location. The Richard’s have completely restored the cottage and have filled it with many fine antiques and whimsical collectibles. A just completed addition offers a view of the gardens. Mrs. Richard, founder of “Gather Ye Rosebuds”, designed the beautiful rose garden with more than 100 rose bushes. Mr. Richard designed and installed the various water gardens and plantings.
HOME OF JIM AND TERI WYLY 216 North Beach Blvd., Bay St. Louis. The Wyly home faces the Bay on property once the site of the Tulane Hotel. Destroyed by fire, the hotel was replaced circa 1930 by a red tiled stucco house in Spanish Mission style. Just completed construction has added a wing of four bedrooms, three baths, a music room, and a recreational room. Filled with antiques and family pieces, its spacious floor plan lends itself to gracious entertaining and weekend guests.
