MISSISSIPPI BOARD RET,AXING Jackson, Miss., Nov. 10, 1897.—
No new cases of yellow fever were reported to the State Board of Health today.
To-night the board issued the following ordinance:
"Be it ordained by the Executive Committee of the Mississippi Btate Board of Health,
That from and after this date all railway trains entering the State of Mississinpi shall be allowed to stop at their depots in towns in the State of Mississippi, and the inspection of passenger trains by local authorities is hereby ordered discontinued; provided that nothing in thi: shall be construed as to prevent local health authorities from forbidding persons from infected places getting off in their towns.
"Be it ordained, etc.,
That mail matter and newspapers from all points without and within this State shall be received at all points within the State without being fumigated.
"Be it ordained, etc.,
That tropical fruits are hereby allowed to be brought Into the State of Mississippi from all non-infected points.
"Be it ordained, etc.,
That the State quarantine agpinst the city of Memphis, in the State of Tennessee, is hereby raised, and all relay stations for changes of crews on railways entering the State of Mississippi from the city of Memphis are hereby ordered to be removed.
"Be it ordained, etc.,
That passenper and freight traffic to and from New Orleans and Mobile on all railroads that enter the counties of Jackson, Harrison and Hancock shall be regulated as follows:
First--r,or infected points intercourse shall be free and unrestricted.
Second^^or non-infected points intercourse sha-1 1 be in
accordance with ordinances of the State Board of Health, and those not in conflict therewith imposed by local health authorities of said non-infected points.
"Be it ordained, etc.,
That passenger and freight traffic on the Alabama and Vicksburg Road* between Meridian and Vicksburg, is hereby modified so as to allow all trains to stop at Bolton and Bovina.
