The apprehensions felt for some time past In this corar.unity as to the Introduction of yellow fever in our midst by the constant coanmnleation with New Orleans have unfortunately been realised.
Several cases have been Imported, and from these the disease has spread — in a very mild type, however — in the central portion of our town.
The disease can be kept under perfect control by immediate medical attendance and careful nursing, and from the present appearances, the mortality will not much exceed five per cent of the cases.
