During the quarantine period mails were sent to New Orleans via Meridian and Jackson, Miss.
The quarantine of New Orleans vessels creates general
dissatisfaction and has already caused provisions to advance.
August 26, 1866, at Mobile requoted in August 27, 1866 paper at N.O.
The Board of Health of Mobile reports 4 cases of cholera among negroes for the past week originating here, all of which proved fatal.
