Alices The Japonicas that looked like, we called them camelias, and of course they had Pomegranete trees. But they had more Pomegranete trees in the back than they did in the front.
What did the front of the house look like?
Alice:	The	front of the house was very tall and very imposing and
you walked up one, two, three, like Fort Knox, shallow steps, not deep ateps and more or less	all curved and with on either side	a
thing whinh ynn now 1 ri h 11 rl o down on, whnt do you call THAT?	I
don't know what you call it. It was slippery.
Mamoo:	It was wrought iron.
Alice:	They were NOT wrought iron. It was wood. Look, Beverly,
she and I are not going to agree about anything.
Mamoo:	It's	not important at all.
Alice:	Well,	it wasn't wrought	iron. It is of wood. And then	you
got up	on the	gallery and then they had a statue, a big pillar of
something there. Then they DID have some wrought iron, around here	and around there and some around here	too, then you had	the
door	which was lovely. And they	had, on	either side, they	had
different colored glass. Do	you remember that? Or am I wrong?
Mamoo:	No. I think you're	right. I think you're right. And then
they'd open the doors and when you'd go into the house you'd open the door and you'd see a great big enormous wide hallway which went all the way through from the front of the house to the very back.
You would eat in the large dining room?
Mamoo:	Well, no, no, no. The hall.,..
Alice:	We're	not in the dining	room yet. You're walking into	the
front	door into a hall. And a	large size hall that went to	the
back gallery.
Mamoo:	Yes, now, when you got to the very back part of the house,
the hallway you see, you turn to the left and there was another wide	hall leading to the dining	room. The dining room was	an
octagonal room which was off that	hallway,	you see, and there	was
a great big enormous dining room there, you see. But we skipped a part now because we'd forgotten the drawing room, the parlor.
Alice:	On the left-hand side as you go in. It was a tremendous
parlor that lasted from the front of the house to the hall that went to the dining room mgmin.
