Dear Margaret,
Thank you so very much for all the information.
Especial	thanks for marking the map. I took it over	to Jeff
Canfield	and we found your additions to be of great	help.	Rest
assured that at the Trail Advisory Committee meeting on March 27 I will go into detail with this latest information and have everyone mark their maps accordingly.
I should like to emphazise at this time that our orders are to use as much State and Federal owned property as possible to hold the cost of land down. The signs you ask for will be notated on the important list as they are of Bartram quality. I still must take this week to go over every bit of information carefully that you've sent so that it will become part of me and I'll be able able to' extend it as tho I?ve seen it and been there.
Now as to the reason you have'nt seen	me- I	only	wish
I were in Hawaii but that is not me that's supposed	to be	there,	someone
else msut be going there. I have'nt even been to Canton since I saw you all0 But none the less- we realized that when were putting in for the grant that there was no money in the 100% funded area so Dr.King called on the Gulf Regional Planning Commission and at once got the promise of the 80-20 ptogram. Mr.Jim Head was simply great and at once placed two men to work on the proposal and they worked until 2 A.M. last ^nite to perfect it. We put in for a Planning Grant for the 3 Counties for Heritage Centers. We showed where we would use the existing land facilities in each County and the necessity for the Trail to replace
Recreational Environmental --------- that was being ruined for our Heritage
by influx of people, excess mining of oil and Gas, such as Hancock County and Ingalls Shipyard and De Lisle Plant etc. you oughta see the list- it'd make you cry- so the great need for the Trail is REALLY there. Then they would'nt let up- we met daily for 4 days running and it is a pleasure now to be leisurly again.
Please be assured that I will pay strict attention to everything you sent and take good care of it. My map will marked EXACTLY as you have marked the one you sent. I will make copies of all you sent and place them with the info in Mr, Tom Edwards office on the Trail as he is the Chairman of the Advisory Committee. I have HKK been accused
