The Second Alternate, as shown on this water map, is a water Trail in the Gulf, with two drafts specified by the United States Coast Guard ? a deep draft and a shallow draft. We state in complete honesty that this is open water and extreme caution should be exercised always as to the proper vessel and strict safety precautions AT ALL TIMES. Always the latest weather / reports and Coast Guard alerts should be takei. into consideration before venturing in the Gulf or crossing to the islands. Detailed maps of this water route will be made available at the Indoctrination Centers which will be constructed near both state borders.
An additional segment to the Mississippi Bartram Trail is located at Gloster, Mississippi. By logical reckoning, it is concluded that Bartram, according to his Diary, left Baton Rouge and visited Natchez, Mississippi. In Gloster, there is a magnificent Arboretum which has been dedicated and is named "The William Bartram Memorial Gardens."	x
