GULF YACHTING ASSOCIATION
RESOLUTION
The Flag Officers, Board of Director*, and Member Yacht Clubs of the Gulf Yachting Association, in meeting duly assembled this 4th day of May, 1969, expresses its sense of regret over the untimely passing of its 38th Past Commodore-President, HENRY B. CHAPMAN; and
WHEREAS, Commodore HENRY B. CHAPMAN, also served the Gulf Yachting Association as Secretary-Treasurer, in a very capable manner during his earthly cares; and
" WHEREAS, he contributed in a large measure, his skills as
an Aviator and a Master of ocean-going vessels, and endeared himself in the great Sport of Sailing; and
" WHEREAS, Commodore HENRY B. CHAPMAN, through his efforts, caused advancement in the Sport of Sailing in the Gulf and inland adjacent waters; and
" WHEREAS, he answered the call, whenever called upon, to officiate as Judge in various National Sailing Championships over the years, solely for his love of sailing.
" NOW, THEREFORE, the Gulf Yachting Association takes
cognizance of its .loss of a true Yachtsman and has resolved that this .Resolution be presented to his bereaved widow, and that a copy of this Resolution be annexed to the Minutes of?this 49th Annual Meeting of the Gulf Yachting Associatipn.
