MR. AND MRS. JOSEPH With six of their seven children jerving the United Slate* Government. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph di Bene* detto. well known citizens of Bay St. Louis, are the kind of citizens we may well be proud of. Mr. and Mrs. di Benedetto were both born in Italy and came to the United States( in their early childhood. They have, been naturalized citizens of the United States for thirty-eight years, i Mr. di Benedetto was bom near. Palermo and came to New Orleans! with his parents in 1873. He met! his wife, the former Miss Josephine Alessi, and they were married in In- j dependence, Louisiana, nt which' place they lived for a short time. Mr.' and Mrs. di Benedetto came to Bay St. Louis in the year ]900 and en gaged in farming for several years. In the year 1916 they opened a gro-' eery business which has grown to be one of the largest and finest gro-; eery and delicates&an stores on the: Gulf Coast and which is known to hundreds of summer visitors and t winter tourists. Several years ago Mr. di Benedetto erected his present building which is a crcdit to the city. The business is carried on by Mr. and Mrs. di Benedetto and their, daughter. Miss Mary di Benedetto. !
They have seven children. Six of these are engaged in different branches of the Government Servicc Anthony, the eldest son who is mar-* ried to Miss Theresa Bell, and who

George, who is married to t former Miss Irmabelle Fahey, ai who was an electrician and radio r pair man, left on Monday of t? week for New Orleans where he c tered the United States Naval Fore as a radio technician.
Joseph, Jr., is in the United Stat Army, stationed at Camp Shelby.
Dominick, the youngest son, Is e; ployed at Keesler Field in Biloxi.
Miss Jennie di Benedetto, a form Deputy Clerk in the Chancery Cler) Office, is doing secretarial work the Army Air Base in Baton Roug Louisiana.
Miss Nina di Benedetto who is graduate of Hotel Dieu School Nursing, is with the Veterans. Faci ity at Hines, Illinois, and Miss Mai di Benedetto, the ever efficient iitt business woman, is the only one oft) children located in Bay St. Lou where she helps take care of t> business with her father and mothe
The di Benedetto children attend* St. Joseph's Academy and Saint Stai islaus College. They are a credit ' their parents and they and their pa ents are a credit to the City of Ba St. Louis.
