Mr. Charles Gray
Hancock County Historical Society Box 312
Bay St. Lo'uis, MS 39 5 20 Dear Mr. Gray:
Your generous package was received today. I have poured over	the contents	in	search of familiar names and	places.
This	is the first	map I have seen of the Bay area	and
things are beginning to come clear--such as, I now realize that "the river", which my Dad talks about is the Jourdan rather than the Pearl.
Tomorrow, I will take the package to my Dad. I told him of my conversation with you and both of us have eagerly awaited a letter. Certainly this will thrill him more than	I can explain.	His reminiscences of his early life
fill	a great deal	of	his time and both of us look	forward
to our little historical project.
You have our special thanks for the valuable SKETCH BOOK.
I	didn't expect such a treasure. Enclosed is my check for $25.00 - -$13.00 for the copy of ALONG THE GULF and $12.00 annual membership dues.
Expect another letter soon.
Sincerely,
'lmrry Yirsching TF/jmJ
