Randolph, had moved there earlier to seek his fortune. My father recalls that his dad undertook the entire sad task without shedding a tear. Both of my grandparents lived into their 70's, saw their 50th anniversary and the birth of grandchildren. In spite of their losses, they lived happy lives and hold a warm spot in my heart.
There are dozens of stories I would like to share with you as you research the early 20th century history of the Bay. I'll try to include some names in future correspondence.
My father 'often wonders what happened to friends, neighbors, factory workers, captains, crews, etc. from his early life.
