Martha Claire Haim Grannyl.com & Creative Health Resources
In the 18 months that Claire Haun has been a fulltime resident of Hancock County, she has demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit that comes through intelligence, hard work and very little sleep.
While running her own companies, Grannyl.com and Creative Health Resources, she finds time to respond to her community?s needs as an active volunteer.
She chairs the Newcomers Committee for the Hancock Chamber, providing personal contact to new businesses and residents. Recently, she organized the first Quarterly Coffee Call for new residents. Monthly, she contacts new Chamber members to welcome them and help them connect'business to business.
She is involved in the Relay for Life Cancer Walk, and sits on the Board of Directors for The Arts-Hancock County and the Bay St. Louis Little Theatre. Her self-taught grant writing efforts have financially benefited both organizations through	grant
awards from the Mississippi Arts Commission.
To raise the funds needed to match a grant from the Arts Commission, she established several fundraising campaigns including the Chairish Your Theatre campaign for the Little Theatre. Artists will decorate 25 chairs from the Theatre with themes selected from past plays to be auctioned off at the Theatre?s Annual Gala. She has worked selflessly to
network resources for the benefit of The Arts and the Little Theatre in an effort to better serve the community.
The impact she has made on the community is immeasurable. The Boys & Girls Club, established this year in Hancock County, is one of the many organizations to benefit from her networking skills.
Working together with the Little Theatre, she has created a partnership between the organization and the Children?s Summer Theatre Program.
Whether she spends time volunteering at the Chamber Business Expo, or creating venues to better the organizations she values, her basic philosophy is to get involved and give back to the community - and that?s why we believe Claire Haun is one of Hancock	County?s
Outstanding Citizens.
