I hope and trust a large crop will be the reward of our labour. I have about fifty acres in corn, "Peabodies prolifre" it is looking splendidly some waste high on an average about knee high. I am eating every kind of vegitable and have been for some time. I have a fine mess of strawberries very near every day. we will have any quantity of figs, grapes, and at the Russ place peaches, plums, and one or two trees filled with [nectrons]. it is getting late and I am bout starting for the Bay so I will close and by next mail will write you more.
