are all of the people doing in that part of the country. Any excitement of any kind? I suppose [illeg] Shute has got back.
Pa sayed Mr Boddy spoke of going up in Tennessee to live. Laura will not be so lonesome then as I suppose they will constantly be with each other. Andrew will remain with me till he hears from Aunt Jane.
I am very glad he will not buy, for I know this country would not sute her, if she bought she would be dissatisfyed when she moved down. I was sorely disappointed when Pa came that I did not see Ma, although she wrote and told me it was doubtful whether she came or not. I was impressed with an idea she would come. I knew she could then give you all a good description of the country.
The time is however drawing near when all will [co]me down.
I guess Ma is thinking of commencing packing, it will be a great undertaking. I have had plenty of nice plums and there ar plenty of figs but not yet ripe. A few oranges. I do not expect figs could be sent. they would spoil before they reached there. I will now close my short epistle and poor appology. Andreww joins me in love to all. And except bushels of love
from your affictionate brother Sami Jackson
