SEA COAST ECHO-THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 9,
MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY VOLUNTEERS-Among the many persons in the Bay-Waveland area assisting the Waveland Civic Association in making collections for Muscular Dystrophy over the Labor Day weekend are, from left, Julie Lagasse, Ralph Peets, and Mickey Lagasse. Jimmy Lagasse Jr., president of the Waveland Civic Association and co-ordinator for the telethon, reported a total of $5,219 was collected through Wednesday morning in Hancock and West Harrison Counties. He said, ?I wish to credit each and everyone for their help, especially the Scouts and the St. Clare?s CYO. The telephone committee, the many collectors at the various businesses, and individuals helped sponsor the Muscular Dystrophy drive, as well as those making pledges?without their help, we would have never reached the amount collected.?
