4A-THE SEA COAST ECHO?THURSDAY, AUGUST 22, 1985
PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT? Jimmy Lagasse III, right, in top photo, aligns telephone poles for a swing set on the North Bay Elementary School grounds in Bay St. Louis. C.J. Hoda assists on other end as Mark Boston, left, surveys the project. In photo at right, Hoda, left, holds strap as Rogers James, principal of North Bay Elementary, secures the pole. The equipment was installed last weekend by off-duty South Central Bell, National Guard, and Parent Teacher Organization members. The project is coordinated by Telephone Pioneers of America. Barbara Boston, North Bay PTO president, said a custom swing set for special education students has also been acquired for the playground through private donations. Lagasse stated the used poles and connections were donated by South Central Bell and the tires by The Tire Spot. A special education see-saw was also constructed. James reported all playground equipment is in the process of being readied for the opening of school. (Staff photos by Ellis Cuevas).
