I think I see, some chimney smoke Around the yonder bend I hope and pray, by the close of day (We, will reach our journey's end)repeat

The door opened wide and from inside (Came a girl so young and fair)repeat
She invited me in, to share the meal And to meet her brothers three Who were not able to run the ranch (For they were crippled, you see)repeat
I knew right then, that I had found The place called my journeys end And a Texas gal with laughing eyes (Who with me her life would spend)repeat
So if you chance to pass this way Won't you come in for a spell And while we gather around the fire (My story I will tell)rep^&rt
And I
