To OsAian Hall
Dear Osaian Hall, your grandeur Did to my mind recall
The happy days, of yesteryear
That to my heart are ever dear
The Mississis&eippi flowing by
The willows as they sway and sigh
The darkies song, when day is through
The honeysuckle wet with dew
The mocking birds sweet serenade
T1is sad such thoughts, like these must fade
Dear Osaian Hall, my thanks to thee
For bringing back this memory.
"This poem is dedicated, to "Osaian Hall" the beautiful Mansion destroyed by fire a few years after I wrote this poem after attending a beautiful tea in the ante-bellen home-
