Isaac was one of the first settlers, along with his brother, Ebenezer4, of the town of Oxford; he and his wife were among the thirty-two members who formed the first church at Oxford in 1720 under the pastorate of Rev. John Campbell; he was town clerk 1732-7, selectman for fourteen years, land surveyor; held rank of lieutenant; d. 20 May 1753 (Worcester Probate Records, vol. iv, p. 466).
