B-6 ISAAC* (William1), bapt. 25 Feb. 1623, at Bermondsey, came with his parents to Charlestown prior to October 1632; (Bond, H., H^lory of Watertown, Mass, ed. ii, Boston, 1860, p. 580); m. 9 July 1646, at Woburn, MARY STEARNS, dau. of the emigrant, Isaac Steams of Watertown, she was bapt. 26 Jan. 1626, in the parish of Nayland, county Suffolk, England. Her father's will names her children, spelling the name ?Lernot? (Bond, Watertown, p. 450). Isaac Learned* was selectman of Chelmsford, 22 Dec. 1654; commissioner and Deacon, 13 July 1656; he d. at Chelmsford 27 Nov. 1657 (Middlesex County records give the date as 4 Dec. 1657; the inventory of his estate is dated 7 Oct. 1657). His widow m. (2) as his second wife, 7 June 1662, John Burge; she d. 8 Jan. 1663. (NE H&GR, xvi, p. 79).
