we can understand that they came in a wagon train. Some definite dates can be fixed. (1) On a preceeding page I listed Peyton Lee and his family on the 1840 New Hanover County, N. C. census. (2) Peyton Lee executed his father's, James Lee, will on Dec. 24, 1844 in New Hanover County, N. C. (3) An inventory of James Lee?s estate was returned by Peyton Lee in the March 1845 court term in New Hanover County, N. C.
(4) Peyton Lee and his family were on the 1850 census record in Hancock County, Miss, as follows:
House No. 398-407
Name	Age	Bora
Peyton Lee	50	NC
Ann	40	NC
Washington	17	NC
Rogers	10	NC
Thomas	13	NC
Theresa	11	NC
Celia	9	NC
Helen	5	NC
James	19	NC
Rebecca wife of James	19	Miss.
Located next door to Peyton Lee was his sister, Tabitha and her husband, James Rogers. They probably moved in the same wagon train with Peyton and Annie.
House No. 399-408
James Rogers	49	NC
Tabitha	42	NC
James	19	NC
Caroline	20	Miss.
Celia	14	NC
Payton	13	NC
Francis	7	NC
Emily	5	NC
Mary	, 2	NC
Leonidas NC

My conclusion is that the 1847 date is the probable time Peyton Lee moved his family from N. C. to Miss. At the very least, we know
Peyton was in N. C. in 1845 and in Miss, in 1850.
