Rogers Elmer Lee 7-26-1834/about 1864 m Maranda P. Jones 1840/1898 daughter of Freeman Jones and Virginia Hendon. Rogers was bom in New Hanover County, N. C. near Wilmington. He moved with his father, Peyton Lee, from N. C. to Hancock County Miss, in the late 1840's.
He and Maranda raised their family in Leetown on what is now the Fetja Farm. He was once tax assessor. He is buried near Edro Lee's home. Maranda remarried to Joseph Martin and gave birth to two additional children, Ulman Martin and Nancy Martin. She is buried in the Ceasar Cemetary near the front gate.
