Ellen McDonald Elected to Post
Miss Ellen McDonald, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John J. McDonald of this city, was elected president of the Gulf Coast Debutante Club at a dinner meeting last Wednesday at Edgewater Gulf Hotel.
Miss McDonald, who attended Stephens College, Columbia, Mo., for two years, will attend Louisiana State University this fall.
She appointed Miss Becky Adams, Bay St. Louis, and Miss Terry Price, Ocean Springs, publicity chairmen. Other of-ficiers elected were Miss Dinah Leavitt, Pascagoula, vice-pre-sident; Miss Babs Franklin, ? Moss Point, recording secretary; Miss Betty Topp, Gulfport, corresponding secretary; and Miss Susan Austin, Biloxi, treasurer.
The Debutante Club will hold a business meeting at 2 p.m., November 29 at Edgewater Gulf Hotel. A coke party for 1968 debutantes will follow at 3 p.m.
The 1968 coast debutantes will be presented at a ball De-jember 23 at Edgewater Gulf Hotel.
