returns to Old Brick House
The 1801 marriage record of Juan Baptiste Carco (Karcoux) and Pelagie Moran (Morin) has found its way home. Genealogist Gloria Smith Moran of Pass Christian has donated the document, written in French, and its English translation to the Old Brick House, originally the home of Juane Baptiste and Pelagie Carco.
Juan Baptiste, son of Nicholas and Catherine Ladner Carco, received a Catholic Church dispensation to marry Pelagie, his second cousin.
